OLIN’s proposal is a socio-ecotone, a site which weaves the inherent characteristics of two adjacent places. The project site sits on the edge of two very different landscapes. Historically, ecologically, and socially, the proposal links together these adjacencies as well as forms an identity of its own. OLIN creates distinguished landscapes and urban designs worldwide, through work is predicated upon social engagement, craft, detail, materiality, and timelessness. An appreciation of the urban environment is paramount. OLIN love cities and celebrates their complexities, contradictions, and constraints. They believe in continued evolution and enjoy collaboratively shaping the way cities look and function.
OLIN’s portfolio includes Bryant Park in New York City, the J. Paul Getty Center in Los Angeles, Mission Bay and Rincon Park in San Francisco, and the Washington Monument Grounds in the heart of our nation’s capital.
